Brief Description: Tank drain, pitot tube opening and rib engraving
I drilled the tank drain fitting pictured in image 1 to the tank skin. This was followed by drilling the opening for the tubing bulkhead fitting for the pitot tube through the lower spar flange, see image 2. The instructions call for a 7/16 inch hole through the spar flange. Seems like a large hole for such a critical component so I checked the dimension three times but of course it has to be that large for the bulhead fitting to fit. Lastly I removed and engraved all the tank ribs with their position. Next will be lots of disassembling of parts in preparation for deburring, dimpling, cleaning, alodining and finally priming before some final assembly starts.
